    There are many reasons why someone seeks counseling. Some people seek counseling after a significant event, such as the loss of a relationship, death of a loved one, or even being the survivor of a crime. Other people may seek help due to feeling down, worrying, not having any energy, or being overwhelmed. No matter what you are experiencing, seeking counseling may help you navigate.   • What is online counseling?

    Safe Haven Counseling offers online counseling only. If you are interested in meeting with a counselor in person at an office, feel free to reach out to me and I will link you with counselors in your area.

  • Do you offer services to anyone outside of Virginia or North Carolina?

    No, I must only practice in states where I am licensed. I am currently a Licensed Professional Counselor in Virginia and a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina. I am available to provide counseling services to individuals who live in Virginia or North Carolina.

  • Do you accept insurance?

    No, I am currently an out-of-network provider with all insurance companies. I can provide you with a receipt of services paid and you can send in to your insurance company. You will want to check with your insurance company prior to receiving services to determine if they will reimburse you for out-of-network counseling.

  • What should I ask my insurance provider?

    -Do I have mental health insurance benefits? - What is my out-of-network mental health benefit reimbursement rate? - Do I have a deductible and has it been met?
